Job Summary
Responsible for the coordination and management of all purchasing activities across the company to
ensure effective purchasing and delivery of goods and services with the required specifications. This
will be done through the establishing relations with key suppliers, identification of new opportunities,
and seeking and applying ways to improve purchasing efficiency

 

Duties and Responsibility

1. Implementing policies, procedures and strategies for procurement activities and ensuring they
are in compliance with the corporate policies and procedures.
2. Investigating local suppliers and recommend potential ones to the Procurement Manager.
3. Carrying out the purchasing activities and procedures to ensure providing the selected
supplies with required specifications.
4. Coordinating with the Quality and Production for ensuring that the purchased items and
materials are in compliance with the requested specifications.
5. Ensure compliance with adopted policies and procedures as well as monitoring the handling
process of purchasing requirements.
6. Processing purchase requisitions and placing various purchase orders with suppliers as per the
agreed terms.
7. Maintaining close relationships with all departments at all times for the timely supply of
needed materials.
8. Keeping records of purchase orders in an organized manner and on a continuous basis.
9. Performing other duties related to the job as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.

 

Qualification: University Degree in Industrial Engineer

Experience: Five years of experience in similar position.

Physical Demand: Ability to communicate orally with customers, management, and coworkers,
both individually and in front of a group is important. Regular use of the
telephone and e-mail for communication is essential.
Sitting for extended periods is common. Hearing, vision, and speaking within
normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary
information, and to prepare or inspect documents

Work Environment: The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting. Extended periods
of sitting while using a computer or other devices are common
